What gets installed
- Galvanized-steel mesh — 1/2" hexagonal openings, UV-stable, 20+ year service life
- Stainless-steel clips attaching mesh to the panel rails — no holes drilled in panels
- Mesh runs the full perimeter of every panel array, closing the gap to the roof surface
- No damage to mounting — installs without disturbing existing solar fasteners
- Existing nest cleanout included if any bird residence is found during install
Pricing by panel count
- 10–14 panels — $480
- 15–22 panels — $680
- 23–32 panels — $880
- 33+ panels — $1,200+
- Pre-existing nest cleanout / decontamination — included, but adds 1–2 hours to install
Why mesh over spikes or sound deterrents
- Spikes work for pigeons on flat ledges, not for accessing the panel-roof gap. Birds get under them easily.
- Sound deterrents stop working after 2–3 weeks when birds habituate.
- Visual deterrents (owl decoys, reflective tape) work for 1 month max.
- Mesh physically blocks access. The only durable solution.
Common questions
Will this void my solar warranty?
No. Network specialists install the mesh using the existing panel rail-mounting hardware — no holes in panels, no modifications to the original installer's work. Warranty stays intact.
Can the panels still be cleaned with mesh installed?
Yes. The mesh doesn't interfere with rooftop access from above. Network cleaners brush over and around the mesh without issue.
